Our team is trained in the Dialogue for Peaceful Change (DPC) approach to mediation. This is an internationally recognized and accredited program which supports groups, families, individuals and communities in addressing the conflicts they are experiencing in their lives, organizations and the communities they are part of. Our approach provides effective tools and strategies for analyzing and addressing conflicts
We support individuals and organizations who are anticipating or dealing with conflict and support them to find sustainable and effective solution that satisfy all the parties involved.
Facilitation

Our facilitators use popular and adult education principles for group facilitation. Our team have all been trained in the ASPIRE model of facilitation.
Governance Support
Enhancing Decision-Making and Governance
We centre our practice on consensus and participatory decision-making recognizing that collective decisions that are built on full and equitable participation make for sustainable programs and practices. We support groups in working through difficult decisions and how to communicate honestly and effectively to achieve the desired results. We ensure there is effective accountability in the processes among the group to help ground and sustain the decisions that are agreed upon.

We recognize that all successful group and team processes are built on respectful relationships. We incorporate a number of training practices which will lead teams through developing an enhanced understanding of each other. Emerge facilitators find ways where everyone’s strengths and assets can be most valuable and useful to the team as a whole.

Healthy and effective organizations have superior communication practices and approaches. We support organizations, individuals, groups and communities in developing effective communication skills. We do this through hands on learning about how to engage in deep listening practices and how to bring forward individual and communities authentic contributions and voice.

Promoting Inclusive Environments
Our team has extensive experience supporting efforts towards diversity and inclusion based in the communities we are part of and the groups, programs, processes and organizations we support.
We are able to design anti-racism, anti-oppression diversity and inclusion trainings for staff, management, board, volunteers and community members. We can also offer support, planning and delivery of plans and projects that address systemic discrimination.

We offer consulting and support services in any of our program areas, and make ourselves available if conflicts or challenges occur which may require mediation services or support on an ongoing basis.
